Streets and Roads Annual Report

OVERVIEW:
Under the California Streets and Highways Code
section 2151, the 58 counties and 479 cities of California are required
to file an annual report of expenditures for street or road purposes
with the State Controller’s Office on or before October 1 of each year.
Streets and Highways Code section 2154 requires the California State
Controller’s Office to distribute a compilation of those reports
annually. The State Controller’s Office prepared the financial tables
presented in this report from data submitted by each city and county.
This report provides useful information about funding for the
construction and maintenance of California’s vast network of streets
and roads.
